Good2GiveBack is the state’s first ever volunteer campaign designed to recognise the tireless work and contribution of volunteers across Queensland.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of clubs that ensure that over 75,000 participants enjoy football in Queensland year round. Their passion and dedication is unparalleled regardless of whether they coach a junior team on weekends or keep the canteen up and running.
The campaign strengthens the support of volunteers around the state, and encourages more Queenslanders to give back to their local football clubs which are integral to the fabric of local communities.

REGISTER AS A CURRENT VOLUNTEER
We have around 5,000 volunteers registered, but we know the true number of individuals contributing to our game in a volunteer capacity is closer to 30,000 across the state.
We urge every volunteer in Queensland to register through Play Football to ensure we can provide them with the direct support and resources they need and acknowledge their contributions, while also providing them with insurance cover.
As a registered volunteer, you are:
- Covered by FQ insurance policies
- Able to receive support and resources from FQ
- Eligible for Volunteer of the Month Awards
- Eligible for annual Football in Queensland Awards
- Included in new recognition initiatives
- Eligible for long service recognition

BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Football wouldn’t be football without volunteers. Whether it’s coaching, becoming a leader, joining your local club’s committee or helping out with your local association, football gives you a chance to meet like-minded people and help your local community.
Becoming a part of the football community in Queensland can be a rewarding experience where you will make life long friends.
There are various ways in which you can get involved in the game:
- Helping at a one off event or ad hoc events
- Consistent volunteering every week/fortnight/month at a local club
- E-volunteering (data input, social graphics etc)
